Located in the enchanted hilly landscape of the Marca Trevigiana, Asolo is one of the most beautiful, charming hamlets in Italy. Referred to as “the town of a hundred horizons” by the poet Giosuè Carducci, Asolo’s historical centre still preserves its authentic Medieval atmosphere and charm. The town is surrounded by ancient walls and dominated by the Rocca, an austere fortress on Mount Ricco. The narrow streets are lined with gothic arched porticoes, antique buildings and houses covered in frescoes with gracious wrought iron balconies.
Asolo is the ideal destination for cycling lovers, offering a variety of itineraries and routes surrounded by magnificent scenery. From here, the fittest of the fit can easily ride all the way to the Dolomites and live the thrill of the climbs and curves made famous in the Giro d’Italia by cycling greats from yesterday and today.
